Sustainable gardening

Or more accurately adopting methods and practices that enable a garden to be more sustainable whilst helping it to become net positive for nature and for people. Some example methods and practices include:

 

- Recycling garden waste / garden composting

- Enhancing soil carbon content

- Selecting growing media from responsible sources

- Planting of native plant species (enhancing biodiversity)

- Water capture and management

- Pollinator friendly plants

- Minimise/stop use of chemical fertizers and pesticidies

- Habitat creation

- Home grown fruit and vegatables

- Reduction of runoff
